The Sport Caravan will once again make a stop this Saturday in the town of Vence, this year for its 13th edition.
Organized by the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee (CDOS 06), in partnership with the Alpes-Maritimes General Council and the Departmental Directorate of Social Cohesion, it changes its venue this year to the city of arts, positioning itself at the Dandreis parking and gymnasium (328 av Colonel Meyère, 06140 VENCE).
This 7th summer stage will begin at 10:00 AM and end at 4:30 PM. Several sports, initiated by the departmental committees, will be offered free of charge to children and young people aged 4 to 16.
Philippe Manassero, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Olympic and Sports Committee, and his governing board wish, through the Sport Caravan, to convey the values of Olympism, enable the Sports Committees to communicate, promote their disciplines, reveal vocations, and share sporting moments free of charge with all present children.
The “Sponsor” of this stage, Cécile Hernandez-Cervellon, Silver Medalist at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games and French Champion in Parasnowboard, will be present to meet and interact with the youth about her experience and will hold a signing session.
This 13th edition is marked by innovation. At the Vence stage, the designers of the automatic image capture system in the sports venues of the cities (Gymnasium and outdoor field) with the i-Players video profile system will be present. Demonstrations and presentations will be held.
This sporting day will conclude with an awards ceremony around 4:30 PM, where each participant will receive a t-shirt in the colors of the event, and a draw will allow one young participant to leave with an OGC Nice jersey, along with numerous prizes offered by Crédit Agricole, partners of the Sport Caravan.
