As part of the development work for the Coulée Verte, it was necessary to demolish the structures of the hanging gardens, which notably include the “Promenade du Paillon” parking lot.

This parking lot had a significant number of subscribers, most of whom live in the old town. Therefore, it was planned to build a parking facility on the land located between Saint François de Paule Street, Sulzer Street, and the Quai des Etats-Unis.

SULZER PARKING

The parking will occupy a total area of 2,600 m² with a highly valuable location near Old Nice, the Promenade des Anglais, and Masséna Square.

This underground parking will have 6 basement levels and will include 455 spaces.

The automotive park’s commercial offering will include hourly rates as well as subscriptions and the possibility of leasing parking spaces.

A public space will be developed on the surface by Nice Côte d’Azur during the second quarter of 2013, after the parking opens to the public, for a total amount of approximately €500,000 including taxes.

The construction cost of the parking amounts to €18.6 million including taxes. It is the responsibility of the concessionaire Interparking.

The company Interparking-Cari, the concessionaire, will build and operate this new facility located between the Quai des Etats-Unis and Saint-François-de-Paule Street, at the entrance to Old Nice.

This parking will not cost the community anything, in a highly strategic location for tourism and for the residents of Nice.

The current parking offer in this area is as follows:

– Palais de Justice parking lot: 332 spaces
– Saleya parking lot: 360 spaces
– Corvesy parking lot: 360 spaces
– Masséna parking lot: 325 spaces

For a total of 1,377 spaces, in structure.
