The Sustainable Development Program of the CASA presented at the Villeneuve-Loubet Nature Festival

Latest News

Since its creation, the Antibes Sophia Antipolis Metropolitan Community (CASA) has been addressing significant environmental challenges in its area.

However, starting this year, it wants to go further by committing to a sustainable development approach and is presenting its Sustainable Development Program during the Fête de la Nature, which will be held this Sunday in Villeneuve Loubet.

For the occasion, a sustainable development stand will be offered: a goose game, an eco-citizen questionnaire followed by a raffle, as well as various activity workshops for children:

Coasts and Nature with an activity to create solar vehicles and devices, and a solar oven demonstration

Activity around seasonal vegetables with “From Earth to Plate”

Manual activities: repurposed objects with A2D3

Scientific mediation on biodiversity with “les petits débrouillards”

An environment stand will address different themes such as Natura 2000, agricultural strategy, pests, and short supply chains, among others.

A presentation of the work done by children as part of the environmental education projects Activ’ta Terre will also be showcased. These projects, carried out by the youth service (leisure center) and Saint Georges School in the municipality of Villeneuve-Loubet, focus on sustainable gardening.

An amateur beekeeper who is a partner in the leisure center’s project will also be present at the CASA stand.

Additionally, a puppet show on the beauty and wonders of the ocean performed by the company La Main Verte will take place at 3:30 PM at the town square in Villeneuve Loubet.
