The “Together Stronger” movement is making the 21st stage of the Tour de France in support of the victims of terrorism.

This Friday, July 19th, 75 survivors, direct victims, and family members of victims from 5 continents ran the 21st stage of the 2024 Tour de France. From Monaco to Nice, with a symbolic finish on the Promenade des Anglais, in front of the Angel of the Bay. A meeting aimed at raising awareness about the consequences of terrorism.

Since 2021, survivors, victims, and families of terrorism victims have climbed the legendary passes the day before the Tour de France stage. In 2021, it was Mont Ventoux, in 2022 the turn of Alpe d’Huez, and in 2023, the Grand Colombier. This year, it is the Monaco – Nice stage that these individuals decided to cover, with the support of the Tour de France organizers.

A powerful declaration of resilience and fraternity

This challenge took place on Friday, July 19, 2024. Starting at 11 a.m. from Monaco, they passed through La Turbie, the Col d’Eze, the Col des Quatre Chemins, in front of the #ILoveNice. They will arrive in Nice, in front of the Angel of the Bay, around 4 p.m. It is around this place that all gathered. A location filled with symbolism. This international event aimed to raise global awareness of the profound impact of terrorism.

Strangers, acquaintances, friends, families… each person encourages and applauds their arrival. It is under the shouts of “Together Stronger” and applause that these people, dressed in white, arrive. Forming a large family, their faces radiant with pride and emotion testified to the importance of this event. Everyone provided their support, transforming this moment into a celebration of life and human resilience.

A test of strength and solidarity

Cheers resonated, hugs multiplied, and the atmosphere was imbued with a deep sense of solidarity. Barriers between people faded away, giving way to a united family connected by pain but also by hope. In front of this Angel of the Bay, after enjoying the arrival, all gathered for a minute of silence in tribute to the victims of terrorism.

This July 19, 2024, will remain etched in memories as the day human solidarity prevailed, where suffering turned into collective strength. And where the Promenade des Anglais became the stage for an extraordinary demonstration of humanity.
