This event, which will take place this Saturday, June 29, will host the first French Championships of the discipline, a unique sports event in the Alpes-Maritimes that will involve climbing the 1,150 m elevation from the village center to the summit of La Palu at an altitude of 2,132 m, all over a distance of 4.4 km.

A real sprint ascent over a distance of 5 km with 1,150 meters of elevation… guaranteed thrills and spectacle!

In addition to this sports event, which remains a popular gathering, many free fun activities for everyone will be on the program: Kid-trail (560m), mini-vertical kilometer for the youngest participants, orienteering, tourist walks for the whole family, and even free electric bike rentals.

Distance: 5 km – Positive elevation (ascent): 1,150 m (start altitude at 1,000 m – finish altitude at 2,130 m)

Race time limit: 2h15 – The course may be modified or canceled in case of adverse weather.

Times: bib collection will take place on Friday evening between 5 pm and 7 pm, and on Saturday morning. The first race start will be at 9 am.

Refreshment: at the summit.

Return: participants will descend via the course (shuttle option available from marker 343 to the start)

Award ceremony: from 2:30 pm in the square of Saint-Martin-Vésubie
