The Weeknd Concert: parking around the Allianz Riviera in Nice, what you need to know

The Weeknd’s concert at the Allianz Riviera will modify traffic conditions this Tuesday. Spectators and residents will need to plan their journeys accordingly. Here is the key information regarding schedules, roads to avoid, public transport and stadium access.

Traffic conditions will gradually change around the Allianz Riviera from 3:30 PM, with the implementation of security measures. Motorists not attending the concert are advised to avoid the Saint-Isidore area, particularly in the late afternoon and when the show ends, when several thousand people will leave the stadium simultaneously.

Organizers invite spectators to arrive early. Security checks will be reinforced and gates will open progressively from 4:45 PM. The Weeknd’s concert will begin at 9 PM, following the opening act at 7 PM and Playboi Carti’s performance at 7:50 PM. The show is scheduled to end at 11:05 PM.

For motorists attending the concert, parking areas P5 Arboras and P MIN will open at 4:15 PM. Free shuttles to the stadium will run from 4:30 PM and will also provide returns after the concert.

Drivers are advised to take exit 50 “Nice West” to reach the MIN parking when arriving from Cannes or Aix-en-Provence, while exit 51 “Nice Airport” will provide access to P5 Arboras parking. From Monaco, exit 51 is also recommended. Organizers advise against exit 52 “Nice Saint-Isidore”, which is likely to be heavily congested.

Public parking areas such as Parcazur Charles-Ehrmann or Joia Méridia are also good options to reduce traffic difficulties.

Enhanced tram service, prohibited items and labor action

The tram remains the recommended means of transport. Line 3 will run every four minutes between Port Lympia and Saint-Isidore from 4:30 PM. After the concert, departures will be assured every four minutes from the Stadium stop until 1 AM.

Passengers arriving by train are advised to get off at Nice Saint-Augustin, then head to the Grand Arénas station to directly access line 3.

Travel by motorcycle or scooter is also encouraged. A parking area reserved for two-wheelers will be accessible at the intersection of Avenue Vérola and Avenue Pierre-de-Coubertin. Helmets must be left in storage.

Before leaving, spectators should check their bag contents. Cameras, video cameras, external batteries, selfie sticks, aerosols, bottles with caps, cans and large bags will be refused at entry. Suitcases and backpacks larger than 15 liters cannot be checked. Only plastic bottles or water bottles without caps of less than 50 cl are allowed.

Finally, public transport users will have to contend with the new labor action affecting Lignes d’Azur on Wednesday, July 22. Despite disruptions on several lines, service to the Allianz Riviera will be maintained. Reinforcements are announced on lines 2, 3 and B, while shuttles between parking areas and the stadium will operate normally.

To minimize traffic difficulties, organizers recommend carpooling, checking variable message signs, listening to traffic updates on 107.7 FM and 103.8 FM, and using the entrance indicated on your ticket to smooth access to the stadium. For latecomers, a few tickets remain but at prices ranging from 63 to 200€.
