The Junior Chamber International aims to always be at the heart of current affairs and brings up an issue of utmost importance for the attractiveness of the area: housing. This will be the theme of a conference featuring key players: “Home Ownership for Young Active Residents of Nice: Dream or Reality?”. The question deserves a thoughtful answer.

Nice is the 5th largest city in France with over 350,000 inhabitants; furthermore, less than a year ago, it became the first Metropolis in France, now encompassing more than 500,000 residents across its entire territory.

It benefits from a favorable climate, directly impacting real estate by causing a surge in prices on the market. Its geographical setup between the sea and the mountains makes buildable land increasingly scarce.

Therefore, Nice is experiencing a housing shortage for its residents, leading to a rise in prices. In response to this issue, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, along with public and private partners, has made home ownership one of the main focuses of its housing policy through a series of measures.

What is the profile of the young active resident of Nice seeking home ownership? What type of housing are they looking for? What are the means to achieve it?

Participating in this debate:

Ms. Dominique SASSONE ESTROSI, Deputy Mayor of Nice, Delegate for Housing, Jean-Marie EBEL, Elected Member of the Nice Côte d’Azur CCI Bureau, President of the Côte d’Azur Housing Observatory, Thomas CÔTE, President of the ALUMNICE Association,
Yannick ZEPHYR, Mortgage Broker, “Mon Crédit-Immo”,

The debate will be moderated by Julie DREKSLER and Gilles BOUCHER, members of the JCE Nice Côte d’Azur and will be followed by a cocktail.
