The association Les Jeunes Européens – France is organizing a major awareness campaign on European citizenship aimed at all residents and vacationers present on the French coast.
The objective of this campaign, titled “Europe on Vacation,” is to explain the issues and rights related to European citizenship in a fun way, through educational activities and games suitable for all generations.
The “Europe on Vacation” project stems from the following observation: European elections are often addressed shortly before the election deadline by political parties and the media.
Often sidelined, these elections are nevertheless crucial for advancing the European Union and making it more democratic.
Volunteer teams will spend two weeks visiting several beaches in France as well as campsites, vacation centers, youth hostels, and festivals to engage with a young and family audience.
The starting point is Strasbourg, a symbolic city and home to the European Parliament, before traveling the French coast and reaching Nice on the 19th.
