The young people had an appointment at the Forum of Apprenticeship in Cannes this Tuesday.
The many speakers, solicited by the Local Mission, responded to the call. The Local Mission plays a major role in advising and guiding young graduates or non-graduates towards jobs that are hiring. Its goal is also to support them in their professional journey.
Hervรฉ Marcotte, director of the “Avenir Jeunes” Local Mission in Cannes, specifies: “September is the start of the school year, itโs the final stretch to enroll in a training program.” Therefore, September is a strategic month to begin an apprenticeship or professionalization contract. This explains the scheduling of the “Apprenticeship Forum” in September.
Moreover, participants come from various professional sectors. The CFPPA (Center for Agricultural Training and Promotion) in Antibes offers numerous training programs in agriculture, gardening, etc. The GRETA and the Paul Augier Hotel School in Nice offer continuous training in cooking or pastry for young people.
Christophe Ricard, a continuing education advisor, states: “we are looking for motivated young people to teach them a high-demand job in the department, we require prerequisites, like the willingness of the person concerned or whether they hold a Level V diploma (CAP).”
Antoine, 21 years old, confident, came to inquire about a BTS MUC (Management of Commercial Units), he declares: “I can find an employer here, at the forum.”
