It was Samir Aït Saïd, a French gymnast and the flag bearer for the French delegation at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, who served as the patron for the 8th class of the Sport 06 Ambassadors.
Last night, 31 young champions – either individual French champions or team champions aged between 11 and 18 – from 10 sports federations and 12 different disciplines, were honored.
In the presence of officials, including the President of the CFOS06, Philippe Manassero, and athletes like the new world downhill mountain biking champion Loïc Bruni, the President of the Departmental Council, Charles-Ange Ginésy, reiterated the community’s commitment to sports through various initiatives.
Concerning the Sport 06 Ambassadors, he confirmed the encouragement from the Alpes-Maritimes Department for young athletes from the Côte d’Azur with a “bright future” and congratulated the high-level athletes who have shone on the national and international stages.
