Total Mobilization Against Addictions: Nice Launches a Major Campaign to Prevent the Sale of Alcohol to Minors

Latest News

As a pilot city selected by the Interministerial Mission for the Fight against Drugs and Addictive Behaviors, Nice is launching an innovative prevention campaign at the beginning of this summer to remind people of the prohibition on selling alcohol to minors.

This local information campaign targeting relevant businesses (bars, night groceries, etc.), jointly conducted in consultation by the municipal police and the national police, began this week and will continue for several days.

According to Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice: “There is no inevitability. We will collectively continue to do everything possible to firmly remind everyone of their responsibilities and thus prevent addictions and violent behaviors related to alcohol.”

As a reminder, alcohol is involved in 30% of rapes, assaults, and traffic accidents.
