Due to construction work in the tunnel, the terminus of line 2 of the Nice tramway will temporarily change starting this Monday evening, November 27.
The terminus “Port Lympia” will be moved to “Magnan”. No worries, this change is not permanent and will only affect your travel from 10:30 p.m. until the end of the service.
These modifications will take place from Monday, November 27 to Thursday, November 30 inclusive and from Monday, December 4 to Thursday, December 7 inclusive. And they will have some consequences. The stations Centre Universitaire Méditerranéen, Alsace-Lorraine, Jean Médecin, Durandy, Garibaldi Le Château, and Port Lympia will not be served during these nights.
The Lignes d’Azur network is carrying out maintenance work on the tunnel of the line. This is more specifically “an obligatory annual technical inspection”.
The implementation of replacement buses as a solution
“To assist the users of tramway lines 2 and 3, replacement buses will be implemented between the stations ‘Magnan’ and ‘Port Lympia’”, announces the metropolitan public transport network.
The frequency and schedules of these buses will match those of the usual trams. The first departure from Port Lympia is scheduled at 10:30 p.m. and the last departure at 12:35 a.m.. In the other direction, the first bus of the evening will leave Magnan at 10:19 p.m. and the last departure will be at 12:35 a.m..
From the Port of Nice to Magnan, the buses will follow the tram route and will serve the stops at Garibaldi, Wilson, Jean Médecin/Hôtel des Postes, Gambetta/Buffa.
In the opposite direction, the stops served will be Centre Universitaire Méditerranéen, Rivoli/Joffre, Longchamp, Pastorelli, and Garibaldi.

Furthermore, the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur inaugurated a new 100% electric bus line connecting the district of La Réserve to Vieux Nice, on November 23.
