Nice and its region enjoy abundant sunshine throughout the year. We reap many benefits from it, but we also need to protect ourselves because sun exposure can contribute to the development of skin cancers (more than 70,000 cases diagnosed each year in France).

The increase in recreational practices such as sunbathing and outdoor leisure activities, as well as the use of artificial UV tanning booths, largely explains this worrying increase. There are several forms of skin cancer: carcinomas, the most common, and melanomas, less frequent but much more serious. For several years, research has been exploring new avenues to treat aggressive and advanced forms of melanomas, hoping to alter the formidable prognosis of this cancer.
