Compared to August 2020, the number of these category A job seekers dropped by 8.5%, according to the statistics department of the Ministry of Labor (Dares).

Month by month, it is approaching its pre-crisis level, being only 60,800, or 1.7%, higher than in February 2020. In June, the number of category A job seekers had decreased by 60,100.

The Dares does not comment on monthly data, which are too volatile, and instead focuses on quarterly trends. The figures for the third quarter will be released at the end of October.
