The Crous of Nice-Toulon is launching its flagship operation in university dining, “Les Toquissimes,” on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, featuring star chef David Faure.
For the first time since the creation of “Les Toquissimes” in 2009, in partnership with La Recette Magique, university cafeterias will be part of the event with “ToquiโSnack.” This is a snack specially created by the chef and made available for sale on the day of “Les Toquissimes” in all Crous cafeterias.
In addition to creating the menu and snack themed “Summer Memories,” David Faure will give a cooking class to the four student winners of the “A vous la toque!” contest. The cooking class will take place on Wednesday, October 10, at the Hรฉlios university restaurant (Polytechโ Nice Sophia campus, 2240 route des Lucioles, Biot). Students can participate in this contest by answering a questionnaire.
Six times during the academic year, renowned chefs from the French Riviera will create a gourmet lunch for university restaurants as well as a snack for the cafeterias. The lunch will then be offered to students at the usual price of 3.10 euros, which is the cost of a student meal ticket.
