The Valberg resort has been awarded the “Flocon Vert” label by the Mountain Riders association. This label recognizes the efforts made by the resort to become a sustainable tourist destination that respects its environment.
Valberg, a village resort located at an altitude of 1500 meters, is 86 km from Nice. It offers 90 km of alpine ski slopes as well as a nordic ski area and several snowshoe trails, with 85% artificial snow coverage for high-quality skiing.
What is the “Flocon Vert” label?
Created in 2011, it highlights exemplary mountain tourist destinations. It is a way to go even further in the transition to a sustainable model. Today, only 6 resorts in France have the privilege of holding this label, synonymous with an ever greater commitment to the environment and sustainable development: Valberg, the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley, Les Rousses, Châtel, La Pierre Saint Martin, and Chamrousse.
