As part of the 15th edition of the Month of the Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS), the Regional Chamber of Social and Solidarity Economy Enterprises of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (Cress Paca) is organizing, in collaboration with the “Entreprendre &+” foundation and its regional sponsor, an unprecedented morning event on Venture Philanthropy*, from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m., this Monday at the Ruche premises in Nice (rue Valperga).
This event is open to all to discover this new form of philanthropy that is gradually developing in Europe. Project leaders with a social purpose will find in venture philanthropy solutions to establish a strong commitment within a sponsorship framework to co-build their ideas, combining economic dynamics and societal impact.
Venture philanthropy is characterized by a new approach from sponsors, a particular focus on impact measurement, funding primarily directed towards the development of the structure (capacity building) rather than the end user or final beneficiary, a financial commitment over several years until the supported organization achieves financial autonomy, and significant involvement from sponsors who support the organization with their expertise.
The morning event, presented by the “Entreprendre &+” foundation and its regional sponsor, will introduce the concept and provide advice on preparing for and seeking support, within a mentorship approach, with testimony from a supported project leader.
