Visit the Saint-François Tower!

Latest News

This summer, the establishments dedicated to the tangible and intangible heritage of Nice are offering a quality and unique program.

Among the self-guided discoveries is the visit to the Saint-François Tower! Built in the 13th century, the Saint-François Tower served as the bell tower for the church and the Franciscan convent surrounding it. After the Revolution, it became a municipal clock tower. Several renovation efforts were undertaken over the 20th century, and in 2019, a spiral interior staircase was installed at its core.

Listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments since 1993, it is now a vantage tower reaching 50 meters in height, offering an exceptional 360° panorama over the city of Nice. Climbing its 288 steps will provide you with a breathtaking view, worthy of the effort required, encompassing the entire city of Nice.
