Toulouse dominated Nice in the first leg of the Ligue A semi-finals on Friday evening. The Spacer’s won three sets to zero (25-17, 25-18, 25-22) and took a significant step towards qualifying for the final.
Nice, having expended a lot of energy in the quarter-final tiebreaker match in Montpellier, delivered a disappointing performance at the André-Brouat Sports Palace.
The players of Mladen Kasic were a bit more competitive in the third set, but against a determined Toulouse team with formidable service skills, consistent performance throughout the match was necessary to compete.
The return match will be played next Tuesday (8:00 PM).
