Wallbox, one of the leading players in the electric charging market, has just inaugurated its very first office in France, in Nice.
The inauguration took place this Thursday, December 2nd, at the premises located in the Arénas district, attended notably by Morad Ouchene, Regional Director for France, England, and Ireland at Wallbox, and Monique Bailet, Deputy Mayor of Nice in charge of civil status and the Nice West territory.
Founded six years ago, Wallbox, a company specializing in electric vehicle charging, aims to accelerate the adoption of these types of vehicles by offering, among other things, simpler and smarter charging solutions.
Why Nice?
The inauguration of their new office was an opportunity for Morad Ouchene and his team to present some Wallbox products – ranging from products intended for individuals to those for businesses – as well as to explain the reasons for their setup in the City of Angels.
While Nice was competing with other cities such as Paris or Lille, it was indeed on the French Riviera that Wallbox chose to settle, but why?
If the geographical location – next to the second-largest international airport in France, and at the crossroads of three dynamic economic territories – was a key factor in choosing Nice, the quality of life in the region also played a significant role.
“Attracting our talents, paying them the same as in Paris but with the exceptional quality of life we have in the region, represents a long-term project,” declared the regional director of Wallbox.
Moreover, Morad Ouchene humorously confided that his origins from Cagnes also contributed to his desire to settle in Nice.
By setting up in Nice, the company hopes to expand the commercialization of its products in the Southern region and the Principality of Monaco – where the use of electric vehicles and charging stations is already well-developed – but also throughout the entire territory of France.
