As part of its departmental policy in favor of the elderly and people with disabilities, the Department inaugurated the Maison de l’Autonomie Nice Lyautey on November 24.
Born from the merger of autonomy services in the Alpes-Maritimes, namely the Departmental House for Disabled Persons (MDPH) and the Local Information and Coordination Centers (CLIC) of the high and medium country, the Maison de l’Autonomie is a one-stop shop with the mission to assist Maralpins in all procedures related to the loss of autonomy and disability.

A service distributed across the Alpes-Maritimes territory
In total, there are eight Maisons de l’Autonomie in the territory. The “main house” is located on Boulevard Paul Montel in Nice, while seven branches are spread across the entire department. The deployment will continue with the upcoming opening of new branches to offer a tailored local response for each Maralpin in need.
Highly dedicated, these Houses carry out numerous missions, such as welcoming and listening to people; providing information and advice on assistance suitable for their situation; assessing their needs, considering the life project and its evolution; helping in the preparation of benefit application dossiers; processing requests; prevention and forums on “aging well” in the Alpes-Maritimes and coordinating with territorial actors (town halls, CCAS).
Ranging from social and tax assistance to personal aid services and permanent or temporary accommodation, this support can intervene in various and diverse areas. At the same time, the Department has established a unique and free number for these Maisons de l’Autonomie, called Allô MDA (0 805 56 60 06), as well as a website: mda06.fr.
