West-East Tram Line: Construction Site Visit of the Underground Stations Durandy, Jean-Médecin, and Alsace-Lorraine

Latest News

In order to review the progress of the underground work, the Metropolis is organizing a site visit of three stations in the underground section of Line 2: Durandy, Jean-Médecin, and then Alsace-Lorraine, as well as the tunnel connecting Jean-Médecin and Alsace-Lorraine, which is now equipped with rails.

Surface developments of the stations will also be discussed.

The West-East tramway line will ensure a simplified crossing, without the constraints caused by traffic. The Cadam-Magnan section was opened last June 30th. Ultimately, this line will serve 20 stations, including 4 underground ones, will be used by 210,000 passengers per day, and will connect the main hubs of the city, notably the Port, the airport, the Arénas, Lenval Hospital, and the Palais Nikaïa.
