The Marine World Discovery Center and the town of Villefranche-sur-Mer, with the support of GREC (Cetacean Research Group) and France Bleu Azur, are organizing the exhibition “When Whales Walked!” until January 29, 2012, at the Saint-Elme Chapel in Villefranche-sur-Mer.
Come and discover the incredible evolution and adaptation of cetaceans, from four-legged land animals to those we know today. No texts to read, but audio guides (adult and child versions) will lead you from point to point, telling you about the remarkable adaptation to the marine world of Ambulocetus, Pakicetus, and Mesonyx.
These three-dimensional models and magnificent paintings will take you back in time, to the era of the dinosaurs, and will explain why hippos are the cousins of whales…
Find this educational and traveling exhibition from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Saint-Elme Chapel in Villefranche-sur-Mer.
