Christian Estrosi is pleased with the judgment of the Administrative Court, which confirms the municipal decree regulating the activity of take-out establishments and night grocery stores.
“I am delighted with this decision, which supports the policy I have implemented to ensure public tranquility for the people of Nice, often disturbed at night by excess and nuisances, mostly due to the excessive consumption of alcohol purchased in night grocery stores.
It is also a great success that crowns the effective action carried out jointly by the State and the City of Nice.
Since I issued this decree on July 14, 2010, more than 80 establishments have been inspected, resulting in 500 procedures, of which 370 were for selling alcohol after 10:00 PM. Already 35 warnings have been issued by the Prefecture, and 12 establishments have been subjected to administrative closure.
I am pleased with this judgment that effectively contributes to the fight against insecurity and reduces delinquency in our city.”
