In 1999, Roger Garancher, a resident of Nice, found on the street a piece of luggage that had belonged to a deportee. Stored in his attic for 18 years, he is now seeking a more suitable home for this suitcase laden with history.
Following the call made by this octogenarian, the Nice municipality offered to integrate this object, which holds strong emotional value, into the municipal historical collections.
