The UPE 06, in partnership with Agefiph, has offered a comprehensive service for businesses in the Alpes-Maritimes since February 2010: Alther. Its aim is to inform, advise, and assist companies in implementing suitable solutions to meet their obligation to employ people with disabilities.
The ALTHER service of UPE 06 intervenes at different levels to help companies implement concrete actions:
– For recruitment: coordination of various stakeholders who can propose candidates, assistance in obtaining Agefiph financial aids.
– To enrich the relationships between companies and the protected and adapted sector and allow them to reduce their annual contribution by up to 50%: UPE 06 can help companies approach the ESAT (Establishments and Services of Assistance through Work) and Adapted Enterprises in the department.
– To facilitate the hosting of people with disabilities in internships or through work-study contracts: through its network of partners, the Alther service mobilizes the various actors in the department and regularly offers you candidates.
A free service for all companies in the Alpes-Maritimes. With ALTHER, businesses can benefit from a counseling platform accessible by phone to answer all questions concerning the law of February 11, 2005, on “equality of rights and opportunities, participation, and citizenship of people with disabilities.”
Summary of actions carried out in 2011
During the year 2011, more than 120 companies were contacted by phone and mail. Information was disseminated via the UPE 06 newsletter, a special section on the upe06.com website, and participation in department events: trade shows/employment forums.
More than 50 diagnostics and assistances were conducted; 17 work-study contracts were signed following these diagnostics, and seven internships were organized in the companies we visited.
