“Women, Time for a Song” is a musical show imagined and performed by soprano Diane Frémaux. It is a piece in which the voice yoga instructor pays tribute to famous singers such as Edith Piaf and Liza Minnelli.
“If you don’t love me, I love you” can be heard in the auditorium of the Nice Nord Forum. One immediately recognizes the famous song from the opera “Carmen”. In the Forum’s theater hall, Diane Frémaux and her musical troupe rehearse and practice the same unique show that has already been performed in the theaters of Nice.
A piece where the spectator takes part
Immersed in darkness then illuminated by spotlights, Diane Frémaux performs some of the most famous songs. With Stéphane Eliott on the electone (symphonic organ) and Serge Gallice on electric guitar, the soprano takes the audience on a “journey to the land of voice” through her moving show.
A staging where the spectators also play a particular role. Between each break and each new song, the musicians on stage perform a musical piece whose lyrics are projected on the giant screen at the back of the room. This allows them to sing along to well-known tunes such as “Hymn to Love” (Piaf) and “Toreador” (Carmen).

More than just a show
For the soprano, this show represents the culmination of her career. After studying at the Royal Conservatory of Liège and then the Paris Conservatory, Diane Frémaux has worked extensively alongside conductors like Yutaka Sado and has had several soloist experiences. Besides being a professional singer, Diane also gives singing lessons, accompanies choirs in the region, and teaches “voice yoga.”
“For me, it’s a bit of the work of my entire life, whether musical or vocal, at all levels,” the singer will analyze at the end of the rehearsal.
Her show will take place on October 9, 16, and 18 next.
