Victorious against Nanterre 19-7, the team from Nice returned to success after two defeats in the first two championship matches.
The comment from the violets’ coach, Lidye Verrucchi:
“Very satisfying first half in conquering, which allowed us to finally highlight all the emerging potential of our new group. A brief lapse, however, in the second part cost us a try, but the girls were able to react quickly to score a third converted try.
Overall, the ‘pitchounettes’ showed a lot of creativity and liberated themselves, making a leap in their progression.
This victory is very important morally as it follows 2 defeats away from home. Nevertheless, hard work remains essential because, despite the victory, there are still quite a few mistakes and faults to iron out, as well as our physical capacities to strengthen.”
So, a date is set for a rematch at the next game, which will take place on November 21 against Paris 15.
