The “Pièces Jaunes” operation improves the living conditions of hospitalized children and adolescents. Thanks to donations, nearly 7,000 projects have been funded in hospitals to date.
This year again, Mrs. Bernadette Chirac, President of the Fondation des Hôpitaux de Paris and leader of this charitable initiative, accompanied by Christian Karambeu, witness of this edition, insisted on being present at this 26th annual day in Nice.
The weighing was carried out by the local teams of the Banque de France who worked in good spirits throughout the day: “It is with pleasure that we participated in this day. The teams were able to work in the best conditions,” said Marc Lanteri, director of the Banque de France’s Nice headquarters, with satisfaction, who came as a supervisor.
There was also very positive feedback from the Nice City Hall, which was heavily involved in the event and represented by Maurice Alberti, satisfied on two counts, being elected but also delegated to the Hôpitaux de Paris in Nice.
The people of Nice demonstrated generosity (10,000 boxes had been distributed), and although the record set last year was not broken, the result is largely positive with 1,370.65 kilograms, equivalent to 16,214.79 euros.
Other donations were recorded: for example, OGCN contributed over 4,000 euros (donation revenue from the public at the match against Lorient increased by the club).
Throughout the day, associative stands provided last-minute support. Workshops and musical performances allowed visitors to have some good moments.
A day like this, full of volunteer work and generosity, is one we would love to experience more often.
