Latest News

“Come participate in the biggest sports competition of the year,” say the organizers of Nissa Pantai, tireless in promoting Nissart traditions.

The event is this Sunday at 3 p.m., at Saint Roch Square (in front of the church).

Christou Daurore, president of Nissa Pantai: the palhasso is a puppet into which you put everything you’ve accumulated, like grievances, troubles, worries, stress, etc., throughout the year, and you send it as far as possible in teams of two to start the year afresh and to forget all those tough moments.

Teams are made up of 2 people, each representing an existing or imaginary country.

There are 4 age categories: 1) 0 to 5 years, 2) 6 to 11 years, 3) 12 to 17 years, and 4) 18 years and older.

The championship will conclude with the referees’ awards and the Nissart snack. The sporting event is free of charge.

The world record has been held since 2007 by the team Lu Poetas: Joan Piccinelli and Romieu Martin, with a distance of 15.30 meters.

This event has been linked since its creation to the Independent Carnival of Sant Ròc,
which will take place on Sunday, February 11, starting at 12 p.m. at Saint Roch Square.

In case of rain or snow, the event will still be held and will also be recorded for the radio www.nissapantai.com
