Convinced by the Nice project, the two players will bring their high-level experience to a young Azurean team that is progressing rapidly.
Laurent Buchet, an international rugby sevens player, is a true product of Nice rugby. The son of Eric, a former international back-row player, and the nephew of Philippe, a former back-row player for RRC Nice, he thus returns to his homeland with the ambition of contributing to the revival of rugby in Nice, after spending two full seasons at RC Toulon, including one in the TOP 14.
As for Rati Urushadze, his resume speaks for itself with his 15 caps for the Georgian national team, which will play in the next World Cup in the same pool as the French XV. A Georgian champion in 1997 and 1998 with Kobechi Tbilisi, Urushadze has already spent a season in France, in Figeac, in 1999.
Since 2000, he had been playing in one of the best Russian clubs in Krasnoyarsk (Siberia).
There is no doubt that with these two latest recruits, the club from the Azurean capital can seriously consider moving up to the next level of Federal 1.
