Latest News

From May 15th to May 22nd, 2006, various branches of the Family Crèche are opening their doors to licensed childcare assistants who wish to work in a Family Crèche setting. In order to better meet the demands for young children’s care, the city of Nice is looking to recruit additional childcare assistants.

The Family Crèche is one of the childcare options for young children, offered by the Early Childhood Service, along with multi-care facilities and kindergartens. It groups childcare assistants who are licensed by the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes and recruited by the Nice City Hall.

Advantages of being a childcare assistant employed by the Family Crèche include:
– The guarantee of stable employment and a minimum monthly salary (permanent contract offered after 4 years of service),
– The ability to validate professional experience after 3 years of service by obtaining the CAP Early Childhood certificate, which grants access to various professions in early childhood,
– Being supported by early childhood professionals such as pediatric nurses, young children’s educators, psychologists, dieticians, doctors,
– Access to continuous professional training,
– Availability of childcare equipment provided by the Family Crèche,
– Opportunities to meet and exchange with other childcare assistants at the Family Crèche branches,
– Access to the benefits of the Social Action Committee of the City of Nice,
– The option to join the civil servants’ mutual insurance fund.

The childcare assistant welcomes one or more children (maximum of 2 or 3), aged from 2 and a half months to 4 years, to their home, with flexible and adjustable working hours: from Monday to Saturday, between 6:30 AM and 10:00 PM.

The open house days aim to raise awareness among licensed childcare assistants who wish to work in a structured environment with quality professional supervision.
