The city of Nice is organizing a rock event, Rock in Nice, which will showcase to a broad audience the artistic richness and dynamism of a local scene that is rapidly developing in the field of contemporary music, and rock music in particular.
How to participate?
Bands wishing to participate in the rock event organized by the Central Directorate for Entertainment and Leisure of the city of Nice must strictly meet the following conditions:
– Have a repertoire of original compositions,
– Reside in the department 06,
– Submit an application file, before June 15, 2006, in an envelope to: Central Directorate for Entertainment and Leisure of the city of Nice – 32 av. Malaussena – 06000 Nice
This application file must compulsorily contain:
– 1 CD with 2 tracks recorded by the band
– 1 press kit or a biography
– 1 photo (high definition, royalty-free)
Following the review of the demos by the jury, composed of 8 professionals from the music field, the winner will have the privilege to:
– be the opening act for the headliner of the rock concert scheduled for July 12, 2006, at the Théâtre de Verdure,
– be the opening act for a concert at the Théâtre Lino Ventura,
– participate in the opening concert of the Bon Voyage hall and in the 2007 Fête de la Musique.
