Nice celebrates the commemoration of the abolition of slavery for “Better living together”

Latest News

For the first time, in 2008, Nice organized a gathering to commemorate the abolition of slavery in France.

The city of Nice thus paid a solemn tribute to those who were victims until 1848, and reaffirmed its duty of memory and its commitment to the fundamental principles of the Republic, which are Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. Without these principles, this troubled part of our history could not have been forcefully combated.
