SOL EN CIRQUE is first and foremost a concept created in 1993 by Zazie with the help of Vincent Baguian and Jean-Marie Leau. This concept comes to life in the form of albums, true musical tales for children as well as for parents. In 2003, the association’s new album was released in stores, titled “The Adventurers of the Soft Stone,” which recounts the story of Big Mama, an elephant afflicted by a mysterious ailment. Many artists participated in recording the songs and committed themselves to the children; among them are Carla Bruni, Louis Chédid, Francis Cabrel, Maurane, Benoît Poelevoorde, Christophe, Henri Dès, and Alain Souchon.
In 2006, a show based on this album was created, featuring actors, singers, and musicians on stage. The artists portray jungle animals who want to save their elephant friend. To do so, there is only one remedy: the soft stone held by the wicked billionaire snake. The animals, therefore, create a circus to raise the necessary funds to purchase the stone.
In the fight against AIDS, declared a National Great Cause in 2005, SOL EN CIRQUE raises awareness about these current issues and uses its creativity and artistic talent for a good cause.
