Nice-premium: In your opinion, what are the advantages of the National Front compared to other represented parties?

Lydia Schenardi: The National Front’s principle is to focus on the essentials and priorities, which is not the case for other political parties.

N-P: How do you plan to meet the expectations of the citizens? (main commitments)

L.S.: First of all, we plan to stick to the region’s strict competencies. Then, if a project’s priority needs to be determined, why not use a popular referendum to consult with citizens and act according to the desires of the majority.

N-P: In several pamphlets, you mention the issue of national identity, what is the FN’s opinion on this subject?

L.S.: National identity is the sum of our culture and history. It corresponds to deep roots, customs, traditions, a lifestyle, and a moral and social level specific to the people that we form. We do not wish to see these habits, customs, and lifestyles disrupted by the massive arrival of people who are very different from ourselves.

N-P: Currently, insecurity in schools is a topic of debate. What do you think is the root of the problem?

L.S.: It is obviously laxity, both in terms of the education given by parents and the loss of authority among teachers. And on the other end, a lack of repression.
You have teachers who no longer dare to sanction a student for fear of confronting the parents and a social worker. You have parents who don’t dare to forbid anything… This is intolerable and creates uncontrollable and dangerous elements on the ground.

N-P: What score do you hope to achieve in the regional elections in the Alpes Maritimes?

L.S.: We are running in this election to win the region, of course. Otherwise, it makes no sense. So we hope for a maximum score, beyond 25%.
