Each year, nearly 40,000 people die from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, approximately 110 per day. Every minute that passes reduces the survival rate by 10%. Long minutes pass before emergency services are alerted and arrive on the scene.
To raise awareness among the public about first aid techniques and to encourage the installation of cardiac defibrillators in public places, the RMC/BFM association is organizing a new edition of the “Train of the Heart.”
The Train of the Heart includes an educational exhibition to learn about how the heart functions and cardiac arrest, as well as practical workshops to train on cardiac massage and the use of defibrillators with volunteers from the French Red Cross.
The free exhibition is open to the public from 10 AM to 6 PM.
