20 electric vehicles for mail distribution and collection in Nice
The fleet of 20 electric vehicles (EVs) in Nice is the largest of La Poste assigned to a single municipality.
It constitutes one of the largest EV fleets in the department.
Following La Poste’s first national order of 250 electric vehicles, 20 vehicles are arriving in Nice. This order is part of La Poste’s National Clean Transport Plan aiming to reduce its CO2 emissions by 15% by 2012 and is part of the long-term strategy to equip with 10,000 electric vehicles for mail collection and distribution.
With the arrival of these electric vehicles, the distribution and collection of mail in Old Nice is now entirely in clean mode (pedestrian rounds, bicycles, electric-assisted bicycles, and EVs).
