The Presses Roundabout will receive at its center a replica of the work “Le Grand Oiseau” by Mr. André Verdet, a sculpture exhibited in Saint-Paul de Vence, the town where the artist lived for the majority of his life.
A first in the department
The basin located under the statue is made entirely of recycled tire materials. Indeed, rubber is almost indestructible, and the tire pieces thus put in place have a void index greater than 65%.
This process allows for a greater capacity to store rainwater and water from the drainage basin, thereby controlling the discharge flow into the Malvan to reduce the risk of flooding.
