At the traditional galette des rois event and during the presentation of his New Yearโs wishes, Philippe Vardon-Raybaud revealed the results of the local consultation held among the members of Nissa Rebela.
Indeed, as a movement associated with Bloc Identitaire yet nonetheless autonomous, Nissa Rebela decided to position itself regarding the presidential elections independently of the national consultation.
Seventy-nine percent of the members expressed support for Marine Le Penโs candidacy. This stance was advocated by the executive board of the Nice movement, highlighting Marine Le Pen’s declared intent to abolish birthright citizenship and family reunification (“genuine measures of public salvation,” according to the letter sent to the members) as well as her advocacy for direct and participatory democracy. A decisive outcome, therefore, and one that can be considered quite significant because Benoรฎt Loeuillet โ the secretary-general of Nissa Rebela โ indicated that more than half of the members participated in this consultation.
Local leaders from the National Front as well as from the Entente Rรฉpublicaine, the party of Jacques Peyrat (with the mayor of Nice being represented by his secretary-general Catherine Garcia), were present at this galette des rois event. Philippe Vardon-Raybaud took this opportunity to reaffirm his candidacy in the 5th constituency for the legislative elections, calling for the support of โthe entire anti-globalization campโ in his contest against Christian Estrosi.
