The Niçois hockey players prolonged the suspense on Saturday night against the Toulouse Belougas. Indeed, it was the Haute-Garonnais who opened the scoring: Maxime Faup and Christophe Ribanelli made the nets shake behind Jimmy Lundberg. Trailing 2 – 0, the Eagles opened their scoring over a quarter of an hour into the match, thanks to Marcel Holcz. The many missed opportunities did not allow them to equalize. In the second period, the Eagles gradually regained control but couldn’t find the back of the net, and the score remained unchanged: 1 – 2 for the Toulouse team. After more than 40 minutes of play, Stefan Majernik, Jan Tomaska, and Joonas Saari finally got past the Toulouse goalkeeper, allowing Nice to win their 8th consecutive match, 5 – 2.
