The volleyball players of Nice Volley Ball (5th) are hosting Martigues (9th) tonight for the 19th round of the Pro B championship. This is an opportunity for the Eagles to temporarily move back onto the podium while waiting for the other matches tomorrow night.
Here’s the NVB from the start of the season again! After large victories against Nancy and Orange (both 3-0), the Azuréens are hosting the Martigues club tonight, 9th in the standings. A team well within reach of the Niçois who are finally back to winning.
Moreover, Mladen Kasic’s men haven’t conceded a single set in the last two matches, allowing them to be confident against the club from the South, which has little at stake in this championship. Indeed, Christophe Charroux’s players have almost secured their stay in Pro B and are too far behind to consider playing in the play-offs.
Getting back to the podium
The Eagles can count on French player Eldin Demirovic, who shone with realism last week against the Orange team and was the top scorer for Nice in the match.
