Of course, it does! Jean de La Fontaine wittily uses animals to instruct humans.
The Theater of Fables is amusing, fair, without indulgence, sometimes cruel but always profoundly human.
It is also political, critical of power, the court, and the common people of Louis XIV’s era, and yet always relevant.
