School supply drive: When business rhymes with solidarity

Latest News

This Saturday, August 31, Carrefour is organizing a school supplies collection in partnership with the Restos du Cล“ur. The stores in Nice Lingostiรจre and Nice TNL, like the other 220 hypermarkets of the brand in France, are participating in this initiative, organized similarly to the winter food collection campaigns.

A list of back-to-school needs will therefore be distributed at the store entrances by volunteers from the Restos du Cล“ur, who will then collect donations from customers at the checkout exits.

The essential items for this solidarity return to school are notebooks, binders, plastic rolls to cover textbooks, pencil cases, markers and colored pencils, erasers, glue sticks, pairs of scissors, pencil sharpeners, rulers, protractors, and squares.

The supplies will then be redistributed by the association to the most disadvantaged families.

The brand has been a partner of the Restos du Cล“ur since 2009. This new operation complements the various initiatives that contribute annually to distributing millions of meals to people in need. To supplement donations made by individuals in its hypermarkets, Carrefour is committed, in addition to the in-store collection, to donating โ‚ฌ40,000 to the Restos du Cล“ur.
