The City of Menton offers motorists the option to pay for surface parking directly via phone. This service is innovative in the regulated field of paid surface parking: dematerialized payment.
In partnership with the company “PayByPhone”, already present in about thirty cities in France – including Paris and Nice – as well as abroad – London or San Francisco –, the City of Menton now allows motorists, whether they are residents of the municipality or visitors, to pay for their parking via their mobile phone, computer, or tablet.
How to use “PayByPhone”?
The service can be used in three different ways, depending on your device:
If you have a smartphone, download the dedicated iOS or Android “Paybyphone” app from the AppStore or PlayStore. The QR code provided here allows you to directly access the download page;
If you have a device connected to the Internet (computer or tablet), you can use the service on the company’s website: www.paybyphone.fr;
In all other cases (e.g., phone without internet access), simply make a non-premium call to the voice server: 01 74 18 18 18.
If it is your first time connecting to the service, you need to first create your customer account. This requires registering your email address, vehicle registration number(s), and your bank card number for automatic payment once.
Once you are a customer and connected to the service, simply declare the estimated parking duration for a given vehicle and specify the pricing code. By default, this code is 62,500. After confirmation, your parking is validated: no more need for coins or tickets.
