Saturday at 5 p.m. at Place Masséna, both young and old, heterosexual, homosexual, or bisexual, will kiss at the initiative of the Jeunes Écologistes and the LGBT Center of the 06, to encourage all the majority deputies—and beyond—to take a stand in favor of ambitious legislation for marriage equality and parenting rights for everyone.
It will also be an opportunity for the Jeunes Écologistes to launch their national campaign “Equality!” aimed at dismantling homophobic clichés still too present in French society.
The Jeunes Écologistes specifically call for the inclusion in this legislation of the right to medically assisted procreation for lesbians and single women, the right to adoption for all couples without distinction, the recognition of the status of stepparents and co-parents, and more broadly the equality of rights for all families (parental leave, family reunification, etc.).
