For Eric Ciotti: “C’est pas Classique, along with the Soirées Estivales, is a flagship event showcasing the strong commitment of the General Council towards culture. By partnering with numerous stakeholders, primarily the City of Nice, C’est pas Classique has once again achieved popular success that remains undisputed each year. We have made the choice to offer free high-level performances to the residents of the Alpes-Maritimes and all music lovers.”
This year, in addition to the Palais Acropolis, C’est pas Classique expanded its reach to the Opera, the most beautiful squares, and the churches of Nice…
This eighth edition, over 5 days, aimed to emphasize the relationship between spectators and artists, establishing a special focus this year on concerts for young audiences.
Interactive concerts on Thursday evening at the Opera, “outside the walls” shows on Saturday, exceptional performances at Acropolis, rich and diverse programming for young audiences, educational day to introduce classical music to nearly 2,500 middle school students—all this has created a genuine bond between the public and artists, making C’est pas Classique a grand popular festival gathering 1,000 artists.
This edition hosted internationally renowned artists: the irresistible duo Igudesman & Joo, the phenomenal violinist Vadim Repin, and the highly sought-after Quatuor Modigliani.
These artists were accompanied by the best musical ensembles of the Alpes-Maritimes such as the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Philippe Auguin, the Regional Orchestra of Cannes-Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, under the direction of Philippe Bender, and the Baroque Ensemble of Nice, led by Gilbert Bezzina.
