This week, the World Championships in freestyle, Greco-Roman, and women’s wrestling are taking place in Istanbul.

Two women from Nice are representing France, Adeline and Cinthia Vescan, who have both been internationally medaled at the junior level.

The two young wrestlers will face strong competition in this championship, as the top 6 in each category will earn their ticket to the London Games.

Cynthia Vescan, 19 years old, competing in the 72-kilogram category and junior world vice-champion in July, presents strong chances of qualifying for the Games.

Adeline Vescan, 20 years old, will compete in the 59-kilogram category and hopes to qualify this season for the Games in the 55-kilogram category.

Both residents of INSEP have undergone an optimal summer preparation, chaining together training camps and tournaments abroad.

The two young wrestlers, who placed 5th in the Senior European Championships last April in Germany, will begin their competition this Thursday on the Turkish mats.
