Finally settled after so many years of legal disputes that had blocked any project, a true urban development operation has been launched on the Gare du Sud site to provide the neighborhood with a new living space.


After the first two operations of this large-scale project, the rehabilitation of the former Travellers’ Building, which has become the Raoul Mille media library open to the public since January 4, 2014, and the development of the forecourt, a new phase of work will allow the completion of the entire development by the second quarter of 2018.

This development program includes: the rehabilitation of the old train hall, which will be able to host events contributing to the site’s animation, leisure facilities, a 9-screen multiplex, shops, restaurants, housing, green spaces, and an improved parking offer…

Project Reminder (Developer ICADE)

A parking lot with 720 underground spaces, including 93 spaces specifically dedicated to market gardeners (18,505 m2).

A space of 1,700 m2 in the old train hall, which can accommodate an additional offer to the Liberation market, as well as events contributing to the site’s animation.

Leisure facilities: sports rooms (1,230 m2), associative premises (455 m2), 9 movie theaters (6,384 m2).

Shops organized at the foot of buildings (4,666 m2).

Housing for purchase and a student residence (11,187 m2).

Green spaces.

The parking lot and the old train hall will be delivered in the first quarter of 2017, while the entire development will need to wait until the second quarter of 2018.
