Formerly the Municipal Council Hall, it has been transformed into a reception hall named after the Nice painter Jules Chรฉret, whose paintings adorn the walls.
After the initial work, which cleared the space of furniture and revealed an excellently crafted wooden parquet in place of an anonymous carpet, the hall underwent a trompe-l’ลil restoration that gives it the appearance of a โSistine Chapelโ or, at the very least, the pleasure of bringing the azure sky inside!
This is the result of the work of a team of six artisan trainees who, over the course of a week and on a voluntary basis, did a remarkable job that visitors can only admire and appreciate at its true value.
The Chamber of Trades and Crafts is the municipality’s partner in this project, which was led by the heritage restoration specialist Pascal Parrilla, whose competence is matched only by his passion for this profession.
Once operational, the new hall will help relieve the Massรฉna Museum of its representative role and allow it to return to its original mission.
The total budget for the work was set at 2 million euros.
